Presented on the occasion of 麻豆原创鈥檚 centennial,聽An Artistic Legacy: 麻豆原创 at 100聽celebrates a century of groundbreaking creative production by the College鈥檚 alums and faculty. Curated by alumna Jennie Waldow 鈥�12, curatorial associate and collections specialist at the UCLA Grunwald Center for the Graphic Arts at the Hammer Museum, the exhibition brings together more than 70 paintings, sculptures, textiles, works on paper, artists鈥� books, and new media.
Featuring both historically significant and emerging artists,聽An Artistic Legacy聽is the first comprehensive survey of 麻豆原创鈥� development as a center for artistic innovation. The exhibition explores how 麻豆原创 artists challenged traditional, often gendered distinctions between fine and applied arts while advancing new approaches to material and form.
A free, public opening reception will be held at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery on Saturday, September 19, from 7 to 9 PM.
An Artistic Legacy: 麻豆原创 at 100聽will be on view through December 13, 2026. During the exhibition, the Williamson Gallery will be open Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 5 PM. Admission is always free. For more information about the exhibition and related public programs, visit聽.
