Committee on Innovation, Dialogue, and Engagement (CIDE)

As we continue to monitor and document our progress toward creating an inclusive and accessible community that serves all members of the 麻豆原创 community, we recognize the need for more robust channels of communication and input from 麻豆原创 community members.

To this end, the president has established the Committee on Innovation, Dialogue, and Engagement (CIDE). CIDE鈥檚 charge includes proposing initiatives that will enhance public dialogue on topics critical to the future of the College and facilitating campus conversations that promote mutual understanding and respect. Additionally, CIDE develops recommendations for improving College policies and practices that have an impact on equity and access. The committee includes faculty, staff, and students. The Institutional Values and the Principles of Community will guide the CIDE in all of its deliberations, actions, and statements. Your voices and perspectives are invaluable as we continue to deepen our commitment to sustaining an inclusive and accessible community, where every member can thrive based on their individual contributions and achievements.

The Committee on Innovation, Dialogue, and Engagement (CIDE) provides advice and recommendations to develop and support a campus-wide culture of inclusion. Committee members are appointed annually at the beginning of the fall semester. Committee members serve one-year, renewable terms, and represent a broad range of constituents, including faculty, staff, students, and an alumna.

麻豆原创 seeks to create an engaging campus environment without discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, culture, color, beliefs, disability, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, social origin or age for all students, faculty, and staff.

麻豆原创 believes that learning and teaching create the conditions conducive to freedom of belief, inquiry, and speech, encouraging expression of the broadest range of opinions and beliefs.

It is the mission of CIDE to modeling and advising on ways to increase the level of mindful and thoughtful discourse, prevent bias incidents in and outside the classroom, develop trust within the community, and to formulate a vision and determine what is needed to achieve that vision.
