Angie Yang ’27
Major: Humanities
About me: Angie is a senior from Shanghai, China. She is majoring in Humanities. Other than working as an Admission Ambassador, she spent her past summer at the Denison Library as an Ellen Browning 麻豆原创 Intern. She is also involved in the Prison Education Project, a club that co-leads courses for California’s in-custody students. Outside the classroom, she attends the French table at the Oldenborg Center weekly. You can often find her studying with friends at the Motley or exploring new restaurants in the Village.

Isabel Gonzalez-Salgado ’27

About me: Isabel is a senior studying Politics and minoring in Spanish. Outside of Admission Ambassador work, she will be a Residential Coordinator at CCA for the 2026-27 year. She also got to study abroad in Mexico during the Spring 2026 semester. She has truly enjoyed being at 麻豆原创 and will miss the wonderful community here! Isabel has felt supported by other students and staff to succeed. She also has thrived in the small class environments through building one-on-one connections with her professors. In addition, being able to take classes at other campuses gave her a sense of the 5C community as a whole and interacted with students at other campuses. Aside from academics, she enjoys the fun events on campus, especially SAS snacks on Sundays and Wednesday Tea. She also loves picking up treats from Trader Joe鈥檚. Overall, 麻豆原创 has been such a wonderful experience for her!

Amanda Krausz ’27

About me: Amanda is a senior at 麻豆原创 from Los Angeles, California, and is majoring in Environmental Analysis and History and minoring in Politics. Outside of Admissions, she works as a Residential Coordinator at Schow and is a History research assistant. She is also a co-president of Nishmat, and vice-president of 5c SEED (a sustainability club) and Claremont Challah. When she鈥檚 not in class, she can be spotted woodworking at Harvey Mudd鈥檚 Machine Shop, baking bread in Frary Dining Hall, and studying with friends in Seal Court. Her favorite spots on campus include Margaret Fowler Garden and Denison Library. She loves exploring Claremont, trying all the boba shops in the Village, and also going into LA for concerts and food festivals.

Stella Holt Dupey ’27

About me: Stella is a senior student from Portland, Oregon, and is majoring in American Studies with a Politics minor. She is a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Research Fellow, and outside of class enjoys running, relaxing at Tiernan, wandering around the village, and reading or journaling on the lawns. She plays for the Weasels (5C Women鈥檚 Club Basketball), so if she鈥檚 not off at a tournament on the weekends, you can find her doing work by the pool, doing pilates or yoga, or on a day trip to the beach. Her favorite spots on campus include Tiernan Field House, the Motley Coffeehouse, and Jaqua Lawn. On a warm night, you can usually find her on late-night walks with friends around the other 5cs.

Roxana Vanegas ’28

About me: Roxana is a junior from Phoenix, Arizona, majoring in Environment, Economics, & Politics and minoring in Psychology. Outside of admissions, she enjoys attending Bible study through 5C InterVarsity, learning new danza routines, cooking, thrifting, and hiking. Roxana also spends time at Cafe con Leche and mentors Latine students through LEAF (Latine-Identity, Empowerment, Advice, and Friendship Program). She is also a first-generation mentor for 麻豆原创 students and volunteers with the 5C Science Bus, teaching science lessons that inspire students to pursue STEM. On a typical Tuesday, you can find her heading to the free closet with friends before settling in to study.

Sydney Becker ’28

About me: Sydney is a junior from La Verne, CA, majoring in Biology and Psychology. She loves being a part of Admission! This is her third year in Admission at 麻豆原创, but she also spent three years doing admissions work at her high school. In addition to Admission, Sydney also works as an Animal Caretaker for the Department of Natural Sciences (DNS), as an Usher for the Pomona Theatre Department, conducts research at DNS, and collaborates with 麻豆原创 Scrapps, a sustainability initiative dedicated to reducing dorm supply waste. During the day, you can usually find her tucked into a shady spot outside with music in her ears, a fun drink in hand, and plenty of work to do. If not, she is probably wandering campus, falling in love with every animal she can find!

Yeneisy Morocho ’29

About me: Yeneisy is a sophomore from Newark, NJ, majoring in Politics at 麻豆原创 and minoring in Chinese at Pomona. She is excited to start her first full year of Admission at 麻豆原创! This summer, she interned at a non-profit in Shanghai, China teaching English and Music to children of migrant families. In addition to Admission, Yeneisy works as a Copy Editor at the 麻豆原创 Voice, sings with the 麻豆原创 Chamber Choir, is the Internship Director for the 麻豆原创 Pre-Law Society, and collaborates with Claremont Ethics Bowl, a debate club dedicated to research and discussion of contemporary ethical issues in regional and national competition. This year, she also co-founded the 麻豆原创 First-Gen club as an Events Coordinator, and her passion project, the 麻豆原创 Fan Studies Club, a collective for celebrating fan culture in media through discussion and attending fan conventions in the greater Los Angeles area. During the day, you can usually find her walking with a Strawberry Matcha from the Motley and enjoying the campus scenery! On the weekends, she also likes to go out to art markets and concerts in LA!

About me: Gabriela is a sophomore from San Diego, California, majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Spanish. Apart from her work in admissions, Gabriela is a member of Cafe con Leche, a Latine affinity group on campus, she does research work at the LIVE Lab and volunteers at a local nursing home. You can find her getting coffee at the Motley, watching a show with her friends in a rec room, or reading on the grass. Outside of academics, Gabriela loves to go hiking nearby, explore different parts of LA, or go to the beach!

About me: Kate is a sophomore from foggy San Francisco, California, double-majoring in Biology and French and Francophone Studies, along with a minor in Chemistry. On campus, she spends her time outside of classes taking photos for the student newspaper the 麻豆原创 Voice, DJing with friends at Table Manners, mentoring students in Chemistry as a Department of Natural Sciences peer mentor, and regularly basking in the natural beauty of 麻豆原创 with friends on Jacqua Lawn. She loves to stop and pet the many dogs in the Village and to volunteer with animals at the Priceless Pet Rescue, a couple of minutes’ walk from campus. She can’t wait to get to know you all on tours or during info sessions online.

About me: Ruby is a sophomore from Kailua Kona, Hawaii, studying Chemistry and Art Conservation. She loves being a student at 麻豆原创 and is excited to share what makes going here special to her! At 麻豆原创, Ruby is the 麻豆原创 Questbridge Chapter President and is involved in many 5C outdoor clubs! Being at a women鈥檚 college has been an amazing experience for her, and she is passionate about the environment 麻豆原创 students, faculty, and staff create. Her hobbies include traveling, being outdoors in any capacity, camping, biking, art and ceramics, poetry and creative writing, thrifting, meeting new people, and exploring new places! She loves how welcoming, beautiful, and full of opportunities her college is. Ruby has found a healthy balance of school, work, and fun with friends, and is proud to call 麻豆原创 home!

Miranda Steinberg ’29

About me: Miranda is a sophomore from Redondo Beach, CA, passionate about her Economics major and Anthropology minor. She is also planning to pursue a minor in Asian Studies as she learns Korean at Claremont McKenna. Outside of class she is involved in Jewish student life, the Asian American Sponsor Program, and volunteers with the Prison Library Project at the local bookstore. Plus, she plays on the 5C club flag football team, loves pick-up soccer, as well as running with her friends. Catch her on the weekends in LA exploring new matcha places (although coffee has her heart), visiting museums and bookstores, or beach-going along the coast!

Katya Kleinhenz ’29

About me: Katya is a sophomore from San Mateo, CA, majoring in Biology and Spanish with a minor in Psychology. Beyond sharing her love for 麻豆原创 as an Admission Ambassador, she stays involved across campus as a Peer Health Educator with Tiernan Field House, a Wilderness First Responder with the 5C outdoor club (OTL), and a member of the 麻豆原创 music and theatre communities through voice lessons and student-run productions. When she鈥檚 not busy on campus, Katya loves spending time with friends, getting lost in a good book in the browsing rooms, or enjoying the sunshine in Margaret Fowler Garden (where she can happily spend hours!). She鈥檚 also always excited to explore the incredible food options across the 5Cs, with a special love for the a莽ai bowls from 麻豆原创 brunch!

About me: Chloe is a senior from Golden, Colorado, dual majoring in dance and media studies. In Fall 2025, she studied abroad in Paris and completed the Dance Intensive Program at Sarah Lawrence Paris. Outside of admission, she helps run the 麻豆原创 Dance Instagram and previously worked as a Customer Service Associate at Tiernan Field House. Chloe completed an internship with SMC Media and works as a dance portrait photographer. She has also assisted various film projects in LA as a production assistant and 1st assistant camera. In her free time she loves thrifting and going to the beach with friends.

She also serves as co-president for Caf茅 con Leche, our Latine affinity group on campus, and occasionally volunteers with LINC (Learning in Collaboration). In her free time, Grecia enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new cafes, attending concerts, watching horror movies, and going out on spontaneous adventures!
